Books and journals
The general law collection consists of Dutch law, the law of Western Europe and (to a restricted extent) of the United States of America and international law.
  • Books are placed by subject according to the shelving system of the Law Library.
  • Journals are placed by number (J 1000 to J 9999).
The Law Library possesses books, (electronic) journals and resources relating to: law in general, labour law, social (security) law, administrative law, criminology, economy, European law, tax (procedural) law, commercial law, bankruptcy law, intellectual and industrial property, international private and public law, medical law, private law and civil procedural law, philosophy of law and legal theory, history of law, judicial organization, constitutional law and penal (procedural) law.
The emphasis of this collection is on literature and sources of law in relation to Dutch law. In addition to this, specific attention is paid to certain European countries (Belgium, Germany, France and the United Kingdom) and the United States of America.
