NewsIrene Khan, Director-General of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), will deliver the Van Vollenhoven Lecture 2013 "From the Rule of Law to a Culture of Justice: a Practitioner’s Challenge to Policy Thinkers"
On Friday 8 March, a delegation of the Indonesian Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, headed by Vice-Minister Dr Denny Indrayana, visited Leiden Law School. In the preceding week the delegation discussed possible accession of the Republic of Indonesia to the Treaty of Rome with various parties in The Hague.
In the fall of 2012, five Sandwich programme fellows visited the Van Vollenhoven Institute. The Sandwich programme enables PhD students from Indonesia to study at the Leiden Law Faculty for three months, to work on their dissertations and find sources at the Law Library and the special Van Vollenhoven collection.
