Titia Loenen taught on "Current Trends in Human Rights Law" in Istanbul
On 21 and 22 August 2013 Titia Loenen taught two lectures during the summer school ‘Law on the Bosphorus, Istanbul International Summer School, Current Trends in Human Rights Law’. The summer school is organised by Istanbul University Faculty of Law in association with Leiden Law School and The Raoul Wallenberg Institute and took place between 15 and 25 August 2013.
Several hot-debated topics in the human rights framework were being discussed during that period, such as the Syrian refugee crisis in Turkey, human rights and diversity and the development of positive and extraterritorial obligations before the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). Loenen gave lectures on ‘State neutrality, religious diversity and human rights in Europe’ and on ‘Gender, religion and human rights.’
