Thomas Skouteris is lecturer on public international law, international dispute settlement, and moot courting. Thomas Skouteris is graduate of the Faculty of Law of Democritos University of Thrace ( Greece), and holds an LL.M. Degree cum laude from Leiden University, where he defended his doctoral thesis. His research interests and publications rest in the fields of theory and history of international law, sources and normativity, dispute settlement, international economic law. Between 1997 and 1999 he was Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School (European Law Research Centre). He returned to Leiden in 2000, following a Research Fellowship (1996-2000) at the T.M.C. Asser Institute in the Hague. Between 2001 and 2003 he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Leiden Journal of International Law, where he continues as General Editor (a post that he assumed in 1995). He is a founding member of the newly established European Society of International Law (2003) and member of its Executive Board  (www.esil-sedi.org). Thomas Skouteris also chairs the Foundation for New Research in International Law.
